Missouri River

The Missouri River is one of Montana's top tail-waters. The best fishing starts below Holter dam near the town of Craig, Mt.. The Missouri is one of the best dry fly fisheries in the state hands down. With alot of bugs hatching threwout the year like caddis, PMD's, and of coarse teresterials. The missouri holds about 4,000 fish per mile with fish averaging 15-18 inches. Also there are alot of fish from 19-23 inch range. The season kicks off at the begining of May and continues to fish great all the way up to early November. Once again the top outfitters in this area happen to be great friends of mine and have cabins for rent and also have some great lodges on the banks of the Missouri.
