Beaverhead River

The Beaverhead River is another of Montana's top tailwaters. The first 8 miles of river is the most well known and holds alot of big trout. The size of fish in the upper section averages 17 to 21 inches, with both browns and rainbows. It flows for over 40 miles until it reaches the Big Hole and Ruby to form the Jefferson River. The whole river fishes real well, with the high banks and tall grass adds for some fun hopper fishing later in the year. It is a typical tailwater and fishes great threw the whole year, with great hatches as well. The Beaverhead is a must see river and once you fished it you will be hooked!
