Big Hole River

All of the rivers I have fished in my lifetime, the Big Hole is hands down my favorite to fish. The natural beauty of the Big Hole valley is very impressive in itself. On top of the scenery, the Big Hole is one of the few rivers where you can catch all of the trout species. The Big Hole flows for over 130 miles until it meets up with the Beaverhead and Ruby to form the Jefferson River near Twin Bridges. When fishing the Big Hole every cast can be the fish of a lifetime. It is well known for its Salmon fly hatch in June, and if you hit that hatch on time it is priceless. Dry flies, nymphs, and streamers be ready to fish them all on your trip to the Big Hole.
